Frontpro Chewable Tablet (afoxolaner)

Indications: Treatment of flea and tick infestation in dogs (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, I. hexagonus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). One treatment has an immediate and persistent tick-killing effect for one month. Fleas and ticks must attach to the host animal and start feeding to be exposed to the active substance. For the treatment of flea and tick infestation: For optimal control of flea and tick infestations, the product should be administered once a month, throughout the flea and/or tick season, based on the local epidemiological status. Pregnancy and lactation: Can be used in pregnant and lactating bitches. Contraindications: Should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to one or more of the excipients. Side effects: In very rare cases, neurological symptoms (convulsions, ataxia and muscle tremors), pruritus, lethargy, anorexia and mild gastrointestinal disturbances have been reported (vomiting, diarrhoea). Most reported adverse reactions were transient and short-lived. Caution: In the absence of data, a veterinarian should be consulted before treating puppies younger than 8 weeks of age and/or dogs weighing less than 2 kg. To prevent children from gaining access to the veterinary medicinal product, only one tablet should be removed from the blister at a time. Return the blister with the remaining tablets to the box. Wash hands after use. Dosage: FRONTPRO 11 mg for 2–4 kg, FRONTPRO 28 mg for >4–10 kg, FRONTPRO 68 mg for >10–25 kg, FRONTPRO 136 mg for >25–50 kg. For dogs weighing more than 50 kg, an appropriate combination of chewable tablets of different/same strength should be used. The tablets should not be divided.
